Sorry, but this post has absolutely nothing to do with the 350Z you see above. Well, almost nothing. I wanted to make a new playlist of music, since I was tired of the music I have on my iPod.

I have 3,376 songs in my iTunes library, and really wasn’t up for any of them. Now normally, when you think of making a play list, it’s because you want to dance the night away with beautiful women in Mexico. I had other reasons!
Last week I had to drive 3 hours from West Palm Beach to Orlando. That’s in Florida, in case you didn’t know! That is what this play list was for. Something new for my “Top Down Tunes Up” status. So, I decided to perform a social media experiment and see what the Twitterverse would listen to. While I didn’t get a TON of replies, I ended up with a very interesting play list.
I asked people who follow me to give me 2 songs they HAD TO HAVE on a 3 hour road trip. It’s funny how some people interpreted that request. Some took it as 2 songs they’d have to listen to over and over for 3 hours. Others couldn’t pare down their entire musical catalog into 2 songs, so they gave me 2 artists. I didn’t care, because I was building a list regardless of their interpretation. Though I appreciate everyone’s response, I will specifically thank @shawnz because she helped me get 5 or so last minute responses that were very much appreciated.
By the way, I am well aware of the fact that if you are citing a number in a writing that is 9 or less, you type the word out, not use the numerical character. I, however, rarely follow rules. This you will come to know. Sorry, minor digression, back to topic.
Now, my musical tastes span the charts, and I love everything from Metallica to MC Hammer to Andrea Boccelli. I therefore didn’t put any limitations on the types of music people offered me. And I did download with raw abandon, iTunes loves me. I just took their incoming tweets, hit the iTunes store, and WHAMO! a new song was had. I will say that while some of the music was not necessarily something I would listen to often, none of it made me drive off the road.
I got some amazing suggestions. Some of the music I never heard before, but absolutely love. My favorite was given to me by Yvette, “That’s not Love” by Keb Mo! I appreciate everyones input, and will list the songs I got below. I couldn’t find every song, perhaps because I didn’t know the right spelling or “whatnot”. I’m still searching, though.
